AT the house contents sale conducted by Town & Country in Mount Merrion, Dublin, last Sunday, an Edwardian mahogany, rectangular kneehole writing desk sold for £1,320 and an Edwardian inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase with broken swan neck pediment fetched £1,100.
A late Victorian walnut display cabinet with ornate satinwood frieze fetched £1,060, an Edwardian Chippendale mahogany mirror back chiffonier made £720 and a 19th century mahogany bowfront chest of four long drawers on reeded top went under the hammer for £640.
