Meet the Asian elephants at Dublin Zoo
We’re bringing you an exclusive live virtual experience with the Asian elephants at Dublin Zoo.
Join Conor Pope as he meets Asian elephant zookeeper Gerry Creighton at the Kaziranga Forest Trail in Dublin Zoo at 11am on Saturday, December 12th. Tickets are just €20 with all proceeds going to the ‘Save Dublin Zoo’ fundraising campaign.
As a registered charity, Dublin Zoo relies on ticket sales for almost 90% of its funding but after closing their gates for the second time this year, the future of Dublin Zoo looks uncertain.
Can you believe it costs €5,000 a week to feed the herd of Asian elephants? That’s just one week!
Dublin Zoo’s goal is to raise vital funds to help cover the costs of animal care so we can continue to protect wildlife and support conservation for generations to come. It costs over €500,000 per month to give the animals the highest standard of care that they deserve and even the smallest of donations will help see them through these challenging times.
Dublin Zoo has been overwhelmed by the support and generous donations they received so far, but they still need your help to stay afloat. There are many ways you can help Dublin Zoo - you can donate, fundraise or buy a limited edition ‘Save Dublin Zoo’ hoodie at dublinzoo.ie. All funds raised go directly into the care of over 400 animals that live at Dublin Zoo.
‘Meet the Asian elephants’ is a live virtual event through Zoom, spaces are limited so book your tickets now!
