PUBLIC RELATIONS firm Edelman has published a list of Ireland’s most influential celebrities on Twitter. Not surprisingly it is topped by Father Ted writer Graham Linehan.
The list is a promotion for TweetLevel, a new tool from Edelman that ranks Twitter users’ influence according to their popularity, engagement with other users, and how much they are trusted. For those who would like to improve their ranking, TweetLevel provides helpful tips.

But as the computer scientists at Canada’s Acadia University discovered when they embarked on the research project, it is a far from trivial task. Facebook for iPhone
COMBINING THE ubiquitous social networking site with the popular smartphone sounds like a dead cert but it’s only with the release of version 3.1. that Facebook for iPhone has really begun to sing. Push notifications mean you are now informed of things such as new wall posts, friend requests or events without having to be in the Facebook app. It also synchronises the contacts on your phone with your Facebook friends, adding photos and links to profile pages to your iPhone contacts.

Plans to create a second sun
NUCLEAR FUSION, which is a far more efficient form of power than the nuclear fission plants currently in operation, has long been a Holy Grail. The latest fusion project in the south of France will cost $10 billion (€6.9 billion) and effectively attempts to recreate the nuclear reactions at the heart of the sun down here on Earth.
