Wireless Internet software company Anam yesterday introduced a new product designed to ease the process of configuring mobile phones to provide access to a WAP site.

The product would eliminate the need for the customer to go through the complicated process of configuring the phone and would also reduce customer service resources normally spent by a company to provide and explain access to it WAP site, Anam said.

It said the product was targeted at content providers, financial institutions, online trading companies and organisations which had installed a WAP gateway in-house, and was compatible with leading phones on the market.
