Sony SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speaker: surround sound you can wear

Tech tools: The device looks a bit like a travel pillow – but more high tech

What's missing from your home cinema set-up? It could be a neckband speaker. The SRS-NS7 from Sony bills itself as an immersive personal cinema sound experience, linking up with the supplied wireless transmitter and Sony's Bravia TVs to create cinematic surround sound.

It is Dolby Atmos compatible too, and can connect to laptops, tablets and smartphones for two-channel audio. The device itself looks a bit like a neck pillow you’d wear while travelling, but it’s way more high tech. It has several speakers built in to ensure you get the best audio while it hangs around your neck – ergonomically, of course – so you can binge watch your favourite shows for up to 12 hours on a single charge. It also doubles up as a hands-free kit while working from home, and it is splashproof, so you can wear it while you do some work around the house.
