Logitech K480 puts bluetooth multitasking to the test

New device connects to Android, iOS and PC devices at the turn of a dial

The problem with mobile devices is that often the keyboards are too small to make them comfortable to work on for any length of time. Logitech’s k480 keyboard is designed to not only work with multiple platforms, but also to function as a stand for your mobile device.

The keyboard connects to up to three different devices at the turn of a dial, including PCs, laptops and mobile devices. Setting it up takes a matter of minutes: press and hold a button to pair the keyboard with either your iOS/Mac OS device or Android/Windows/Chrome device, and set it to a position on the dial. The special keys – volume, search, even screenshot – work across the different platforms, although some are system specific, such as the Windows Start button. It’s powered by two AA batteries and, although it’s not something you’ll be carrying around in your back pocket, it’s light enough to throw in a bag should you need it on the move.
