The Irish Stock Exchange was open for a half-day on Monday, December 31st. The ISEQ closed the day at 5,707, a marginal decrease for the year as a whole. The year-end figure was 15.53 points down on the figure of 5,722.53 for the close of business on December 29th, 2000 - a decrease of 0.27 per cent.
