Current Account was intrigued to note a poll that featured on one of the Yahoo finance Web pages, which asked surfers to rate the entrepreneur they most admired.

On the list was Richard (Virgin) Branson, Anita (Body Shop) Roddick, Bill (Microsoft) Gates and James (vacuum cleaner) Dyson.

But the fifth potentially most-admired entrepreneur came from the airline sector.

However, it wasn't Michael (Ryanair) O'Leary - the scourge of Aer Rianta, Minister for Public Enterprise Ms O'Rourke, Lufthansa and anyone else who gets in his way.

Instead of Micko, voters could vote for easyJet's founder and chairman, Mr Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
