Professional services firm Deloitte has acquired the Irish technology consulting firm System Dynamics for an undisclosed sum.

System Dynamics, which was established in 1968 and employs over 200 people, provides a range of professional services for clients including AIB, Paddy Power and ESB.

All System Dynamics staff will transfer to Deloitte Consulting, the company said.

This development gives us the scale to work with larger clients nationally and internationally, while giving existing clients access to the broad range of services offered by Deloitte including business advisory services and global delivery centres,” said the company’s chief executive Tony McGuire.

System Dynamics is a past platinum winner of the Deloitte Best Managed Companies awards.

Deloitte said the acquisition will bring its consulting and advisory team to more than 1,000 in Ireland.

The company's managing director Brendan Jennings said Deloitte has experienced huge growth in demand for technology consulting services in recent years.

“Our plans are to expand our range of technology services to Irish based clients and scale up the services we export through Deloitte’s network of offices in 150 countries,” said Mr Jennings.
