Baltimore Technologies has announced a significant partnership agreement with computer giant Compaq, which will provide Baltimore with access to Compaq's entire client base.

Compaq sales people will now be familiarised with Baltimore's security software and resell its products to customers together with their own. Recently, Baltimore announced a similar deal with Hewlett-Packard, and Logica has chosen Baltimore as its preferred partner for security products in its wireless applications.

The initial attraction of the arrangement for Baltimore is exposure to a much wider client base, and the additional sales effort from Compaq and Hewlett-Packard's employees.

It is envisaged these companies may eventually opt to incorporate Baltimore's technology into their products for clients seeking additional security. The buyer will then pay the licence fee directly to Baltimore.
