FORGET GENERIC phone covers – cases just got the Carrie Bradshaw treatment. Thanks to shoe designer and artist Nina Divito, you can now protect your phone and own a piece of Irish art at the same time.
Dublin-born Divito this week launched two limited-edition covers for the iPhone 4.
Commissioned by The Carphone Warehouse, the covers feature reproductions of two of Divito’s trademark shoe paintings.
“I keep thinking I’ve done a sketch for a painting on the back of a phone!” said Divito, who drew on existing shoe styles for inspiration.
The covers feature the “Lisa” shoe – an elegant high-heeled sandal, and the “Eddie”, a statement high heel and the best-selling shoe from her first collection.
Her second collection is available exclusively at Brown Thomas Dublin and Cork.
The iPhone 4 covers are now on sale at selected Carphone Warehouse stores and cost €24.90.
