B&A wins Irish Eurobarometer contract

Research firm will work with TNS on large-scale political and social polling project

Behaviour & Attitudes has been awarded the fieldwork contract for the Irish element of Eurobarometer, “the biggest political and social research contract ever commissioned”.

The overall Eurobarometer service is handled by TNS on behalf of the European Commission and European Parliament, and involves interviewing about a million citizens every year in more than 35 countries across Europe on issues such as economic predicament, globalisation, environmental protection, immigration, poverty and international affairs.

“We look forward to participating in a contract which ultimately provides policymakers with comprehensive information to help them in their decision-making processes and the drafting of European-wide public policies,” says Ian McShane, managing director at B&A.

The company employs 35 permanent staff and operates a team of more than 150 people trained in face-to-face interviews.
