Mr Joe McNamara, managing director of McInerney Construction, the housebuilding subsidiary of McInerney, has retired after almost 42 years with the group. He is also stepping down from the board of the publicly quoted company.

He will be replaced as head of McInerney Construction by Mr Tommy Drumm, who takes up the position with immediate effect.
