Internet service provider Indigo went all out in launching an online shopping service over the summer, and its shopping page is now the main Indigo homepage.

Fairly limited, but a broad range of shopping categories.

Comparable to retail shops.

Site design: Somewhat confusing. Numerous pictures mean slow downloads. Main page lacks obvious direct links, such as to customer support, although the site offers live Internet chat as well as e-mail and phone support. No privacy policy either, but once you go to a shopping sub-section, the "uses and conditions" link notes that Indigo does not give consumers' information to anyone else.

Purchase: A Bodum milk frother, £10.99 (€13.95).

Confirmation: Order confirmation e-mail within seconds of purchase.

Postage: Free delivery.

Delivery: Extremely fast. One-day delivery standard on all orders and the package arrived the morning after the purchase.
