Housing investment trust to capitalise on property

Looking to the future, 1998 could well be the year when investors will be able to put money into housing investment trusts, a stock exchangelisted fund which offers some of the tax advantages of direct property investment. British property consultants, Savills, have recently raised £80 million in such a vehicle in London. Can the Irish market be far behind?
