This weeks stock market turbulence produced some extreme reactions among investors and quite a few quotes which caught the Margin's attention. The Germans, a race not known for dramatic statement, were particularly downbeat about the falls in world markets. "The best advice I can give today is don't buy this market, don't buy any single stock anywhere in the world," was the reaction of a Mr Wieland Staud, from Yamaichi, based in Frankfurt.
