Germany's unemployment rate touched a record low of 6.6 per cent in November, data from the Federal Labour Office showed ,

The figures are seen as a sign that domestic demand will continue to support growth in Europe’s largest economy heading into 2015.

The number of unemployed people decreased by 14,000 to 2.872 million, seasonally-adjusted data showed.

The jobless total was the lowest in 23 years.
