DCC has established a new computer software services company, ITP Japan, in Tokyo, in which the Japanese managers will have a 30 per cent shareholding. ITP Japan will initially employ 30 full time Japanese and Irish personnel, who will be involved in project management, translation, software engineering and desktop publishing.

The new company is being set up by DCC's 90 per cent controlled subsidiary, International Translation and Publishing (ITP), with headquarters in Bray, Co Wicklow. Forbairt owns the other 10 per cent of ITP, which provides services to the international computer hardware and software sectors. These services are mainly for US software companies wishing to market their products in Europe and the Far East.
