Independent's Sir Anthony O'Reilly's recent arrival in Hong Kong did not go unnoticed. The South China Morning Post described his life as one of "luminous technicolour" compared to the dour austerity of a Rupert Murdoch and said he was "eternally upbeat about everything", which will hardly go down well with staff facing cutbacks at Independent House.
