Bank of Ireland has revamped its website, www.bankofireland

Bank of Ireland has revamped its website, www.bankofireland.ie, to make it more user-friendly for customers who are visually impaired. The bank is the first financial institution in Ireland to make the website programing changes necessary to allow visually impaired people better access.

The redesigned website allows graphics to be turned off, replacing them with text. This significantly reduces the site download time and facilitates the visually impaired in reading the content through screen-reader technology.
