The average Irish pension fund returned 11.4 per cent over the past three months according to the monthly Managed Fund Index compiled by Hewitt Associates.
The index returned 0.5 per cent for the month of June, bringing the return for the year to date to 5.8 per cent. Brian Delaney, investment consultant at Hewitt, said the first six months of the year had been positive for Irish pension funds.
