Wicklow miss great chance

Sligo 0-11 Wicklow 0-10: Wicklow came within a whisker of sharing the points with Sligo at Markievicz Park yesterday.

Midfielder James Stafford had a chance to square the match in stoppage-time, but the Rathnew man's effort drifted agonisingly wide. Earlier, Wicklow's Gareth Doyle appeared to be impeded in the Sligo goalmouth in the 58th minute, but referee Pádraig Hughes didn't award a penalty.
