Munster MFC Final/ Kerry 1-13 Tipperary 0-8: An explosive 10-minute scoring spell at the start of the second half helped Kerry eventually overpower Tipperary in yesterday's Munster minor football final.

The move of Tommy Walsh to midfield just before half-time proved crucial as he assumed complete control to deliver a man of the match display.

Team captain Paddy Curran switched to the 40 and suddenly Kerry were a transformed side as they scored 1-4 without reply. Curran scored two quick frees, and Shane Enright and Curran combined to set up Gary Sayers for a superb goal. Curran and Patrick Curtin then added points as rampant Kerry raced 1-9 to 0-4 clear.

Kerry looked in trouble when they only led 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval despite having played with a strong wind.
