Visindar is now as low as 6 to 4 for the Epsom Derby after a straightforward success in his stiffest test to date as he comfortably took the Group Two Prix Greffulhe (1m 2f) at Saint-Cloud yesterday.

When Christophe Soumillon extricated the Andre Fabre-trained colt from the pack to throw down a challenge to the leaders, the response was immediate and he quickened away for a four-length success over Onerous.

Meanwhile, Tipperary is now likely to host an all jumps card on Thursday with the current wet spell almost certainly putting paid to the prospect of flat racing. Yesterday's scheduled card at Roscommon was cancelled due to waterlogging and heavy rain has also disrupted plans at Tipperary where the flat course is currently unraceable. "If I was a betting man, I'd say we're unlikely to have flat racing on Thursday but the National Hunt track is perfectly raceable," said the Tipperary manager Peter Roe.
