UCD ... 3-7 Kilmacud Crokes ... 0-15: UCD turned around a six-point deficit with just two minutes remaining in Saturday's Dublin football championship quarter-final in Parnell Park to book a place in the last four against either Na Fianna or Raheny.

Goals from Brian McDonald and Joe Fallon for UCproduced the most unlikely of results. The students had also trailed 0-9 to 1-3 at the interval, with Dublin star Ray Cosgrave on form for Crokes.

He landed five points in the half, with fellow county man Jonny Magee venturing from defence to pick off two fine scores.

The turning point of the game came on 48 minutes when UCD goalkeeper Gerry McGill, came out to deny Darren Magee a goal which would almost have certainly killed off the students.
