Terry has scan on knee injury

England captain John Terry has been sent for a precautionary scan on a knee injury

England captain John Terry has been sent for a precautionary scan on a knee injury. The Chelsea defender pulled up in training yesterday.

Although it is thought the damage is not too serious, coach Steve McClaren has ordered his captain to have the injury checked out — and should find out the extent of the problem later today.

Terry is already suffering from a toe injury and forced to wear a protective mask over the cheekbone fracture he suffered on Chelsea duty against Fulham last month.
