John Terry expects to travel to Bulgaria with the Chelsea squad ahead of their Champions League clash with Levski Sofia.

Terry has been doubtful since missing Saturday's Premiership derby at Fulham on Saturday with a back problem.

The Blues skipper suffered muscle spasms after training on Friday and the problem worsened overnight.

He was barely able to move on Saturday morning and was forced to sit out the 2-0 win at Craven Cottage.

Terry had treatment from an osteopath yesterday as his team-mates trained and insists the problem has eased, with the muscle feeling much looser.

Khalid Boulahrouz, who missed the game at Craven Cottage because of an eye infection, will also travel to Bulgaria.

He is expected to be fit and is favourite to partner Ricardo Carvalho at the back if Terry is ruled out again.

Levski limbered up for their first home game in the Champions League group stage with a 3-0 league win at Smolian on Friday.

The Bulgarian champions are seven points clear at the top of the table.
