Sevilla coach Juande Ramos has been discharged from hospital having spent the night under observation after being knocked unconscious during the Copa del Rey match against Real Betis.
Ramos was struck by a bottle thrown from the crowd at Betis' Manuel Ruiz de Lopera stadium last night, soon after Sevilla had taken a 56th-minute lead through Frederic Kanoute.
The 52-year-old Ramos, who was taken away on a stretcher to an ambulance at the ground, received medical attention before regaining consciousness.
He was then driven to the Sargasso Corazon de Sevilla clinic for further tests, and kept in overnight for observation.
Ramos, who led Sevilla to the Uefa Cup last year, left the hospital this morning.
Referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco immediately stopped play following the incident, while the Sevilla team left the pitch.
The Spanish FA (RFEF) will meet tonight to discuss the outcome of the tie and possible punishments. The usual practice in Spain is for an abandoned match to re-commence at a later date from the time it was stopped.
However, it is likely the results of that meeting will not be known until tomorrow at the earliest as both Betis and Sevilla have 48 hours to present any information they deem relevant to the RFEF.
