A planned meeting between FAI chief executive John Delaney and international football consultant Bobby Robson will not now take place until next week.

Delaney was originally scheduled to meet Robson this weekend to discuss his future.

It is widely expected the 73-year-old former England manager will be unable to continue in the role on health grounds. Robson recently underwent surgery to remove a small brain tumour.

Since his appointment alongside Staunton in January, he has missed four of the Republic's fixtures as well as a training camp in Portugal at the end of May.
