Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic insists he still has "total confidence" in under-fire coach Fabio Capello, and claims the Italian has had no thoughts of quitting the club.

Reports in the Spanish media yesterday suggested Capello had handed in his resignation, and would take charge of the team for the final time in tonight's Champions League match with Bayern Munich.

Mijatovic has also voiced his support for Capello and, when asked if the former Juventus boss had considering leaving the Spanish giants, replied: "No, never.

"I insist, we have total confidence in the coach. We have a good relationship and we speak a lot," added Mijatovic, who does admit the team needs to improve their performances at home.

"We are not reaching the desired results and we are taking few points from our home matches.

"But we are playing well away from the Santiago Bernabeu. I hope that a couple of good games will show the fans that we have the capacity to react to the situation."
