The Celtic star (28) beat off strong competition from his team-mate Stephen McManus to win the prestigious prize, adding to his Scottish Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year prize.

Hibernian midfielder Scott Brown (21) has been voted the Young Scottish Player of the Year after a tight contest with Kilmarnock's Steven Naismith.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan is the runaway winner of the Manager of the Year award, his second in a row.
