The respective season's of Liverpool and Arsenal look like they may soon need a good cup run but one of them will be denied that after the two sides were paired together today in the FA Cup third round draw.

Holders Liverpool have been drawn at home for the tie to be played on the weekend of January 6 and 7.

The draw gives Rafael Benitez's side a chance for revenge after losing 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium on November 12 and the two sides already have a dress rehearsal to come in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup on December 19.

It was one of four all-Premiership ties, with Portsmouth at home to Wigan, Everton hosting Blackburn and Aston Villa travelling north to face Manchester United.
