The Republic of Ireland's warm-up campaign for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers will see the side travel to Oslo in August to face Norway in a friendly.

The FAI, who have yet to appoint a successor to former manager Steve Staunton, have confirmed the fixture will go ahead on Wednesday, August 20th.

Ireland, who missed out on qualification for this summer's European Championships, will also face Brazil and Serbia ahead of September's campaign for the next World Cup in South Africa.

Ireland have been drawn alongside Italy, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia and Montenegro in Group Eight. Qualification will start in September with the full fixture list due to be announced on on January 15th.
