Finnan signs new Liverpool deal

Liverpool defender Steve Finnan has signed a new two-year deal

Liverpool defender Steve Finnan has signed a new two-year deal.  The Republic of Ireland international agreed terms last month but has only put pen to paper on the deal today.

Finnan joined Liverpool in 2003 in a £3.5million move from Fulham. He has so far made 121 league appearances for the Reds.

He follows in the footsteps of Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina and Momo Sissoko in pledging his future to the club this summer.
