Soccer: Cesc Fabregas insists he respects all officials after accusations he made "disgusting" comments about referee Lee Mason.

David Moyes claimed the Arsenal captain should have been sent off for an outburst at half-time during Everton's defeat at Arsenal.

Fabregas was upset at the award of Louis Saha's goal, but Moyes' counterpart Arsene Wenger denied there was any tunnel incident and Mason made no mention in his report.

"There has been much talk about me saying things to the officials at half-time on Tuesday night," Fabregas told his club's website. "All I can say is that I have respect for all match officials.

"Yes, I was upset at half-time. So too were about 60,000 Arsenal supporters in the stadium. We were 1-0 down against a very good Everton side to a goal which we felt was offside.

"Players from both sides were saying things as we came off the pitch, and this always happens in football. Clearly the officials feel that nothing serious happened."

Mason made no mention of the incident in his match report and the matter will, therefore, not be investigated.
