Wolves defender Joleon Lescott's proposed move to Everton remains in the balance with the Premiership side stalling over the deal.

The 23-year-old agreed personal terms and passed a medical at Goodison Park last week, but Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has revealed the Toffees have requested more time with Lescott yet to sign a contract.

"The ball is now in Everton's court," Moxey told the club's website, www.wolves.co.uk

"Their medical team first saw Joleon on Thursday and then again on Friday. It is now Monday and transfers normally happen quicker than this. But Everton have informed us they want more time and we have to respect that."

The clubs have already agreed an undisclosed fee for Lescott, which is believed to be in the region of £5million.
