Dimitar Berbatov has committed his future to Tottenham until the summer at least.

Berbatov has struggled to reproduce the form which saw him score 25 goals last season, managing just two so far this campaign.

The Bulgaria international has often been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane and was on the bench for Saturday's Premier League fixture at Middlesbrough.

But Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli said: "He is on a long-term contract with us and Juande (Ramos) sees him as an important part of our plans.

"I met with Dimitar's agent \[yesterday] and he assured me that Dimitar is not looking for a move in January and simply wants to concentrate on helping the team push up the table."
