Blackburn striker Craig Bellamy is wanted by police in the UK for questioning in connection with an alleged assault on a teenage girl in a nightclub.

The incident is alleged to have occurred in the Number 10 nightclub on Mill Lane, Cardiff, on Saturday, February 5th.

The 26-year-old Wales star and another man have been asked to attend a Cardiff police station for questioning.

A spokesman for Blackburn Rovers FC said the matter was "not a club issue".
