Sligo Rovers - 0 Waterford Utd - 0: Bottom-of-the-table Waterford United brought Sligo Rovers down to earth at the Showgrounds on Saturday night. With Alan Cawley, Robert Brosnan and Alan Keely working tirelessly, Rovers struggled to string a worthwhile move together.
Alan Cawley went close for Waterford on 21 minutes but the two best scoring chances of a tame first half fell to Rovers.
Harpal Singh grazed Ben Spicer's crossbar from a free-kick on the edge of the box three minutes from half-time after Darren Mansaram was impeded.
Spicer did well to keep a Mansaram effort out in stoppage time.
James Chambers and Ger McCarthy laid siege to the Sligo goal early in the second half but failed to score.
Keith Foy blasted the ball over Waterford's bar in the 86th minute.
