Shelbourne foiled by battling Harps

Shelbourne maintained their unbeaten run away from home when they earned a point in Ballybofey on Saturday night

Shelbourne maintained their unbeaten run away from home when they earned a point in Ballybofey on Saturday night. But Dermot Kealy's side twice let the lead slip as struggling Finn Harps battled to gain a share of the spoils. The visitors went in front midway through the first half when Richie Foran forced the ball home from close range.

Harps, however, drew level two minutes before half-time when Kevin McHugh scrambled home Paddy McGrenaghan's cross. Dessie Baker put Shelbourne back in front with a spectacular volley nine minutes after the restart.

But Harps forced a second equaliser on 77 minutes when Alex Nesovic stole in at the back post to fire past Steve Wiliams.

Celtic star Lubo Moravcik has been urged to reconsider his decision to hang up his boots at the end of the season - by the man who brought him to Parkhead, Jozef Venglos.

Moravcik wants to go into coaching, but after seeing him score in the 6-1 drubbing of Hearts on Saturday the former manager has told him he still has the energy and class to carry on playing - maybe in the Champions League next season. "He is bringing out the best in the players around him like Henrik Larsson."
