RACING: The Tramore authorities will hope their summer festival can come to an uneventful end this weekend but the weather that helped cause Thursday's abandonment has not finished with Irish racing yet.

An inspection of the Roscommon track yesterday found parts of the steeplechase track unraceable and so the handicap chase scheduled for Monday has been abandoned.

The maximum number of runners allowed has also been adjusted with 18 the max over hurdles and in the bumper, 16 in the mile and a half races and just 12 over the mile and a quarter.

In the meantime at Tramore today, Sheer Tenby can bring a touch of flat class to the opening maiden hurdle.

The locally-trained former McDonogh winner raced off 91 on the flat last time and even just a partial transference of that level of performance should be enough to win.

On fast going, Fnan could be up to making up for Galway losses in the handicap chase and Milkat, off a 73 rating, looks good for the last.

If the ground holds until tomorrow then Bob What could be a bet in the competitive looking two-mile handicap. The Paddy Mullins runner acts well on fast and ran a blinder last time behind Say Again in the Galway Hurdle.

Sheer Tenby's trainer Paul Roche gives Ticker a run in the mile and a half handicap and a fourth to Tivoli Garden at the Curragh looks good in this context.

Northern Fancy caught a hot one at Galway when runner-up to Snob Wells but Tony Martin's runner should justify the trip south in the Beginners Chase.
