Andrew Trimble has been forced to pull out of the Ireland squad ahead of tomorrow's crucial Pool D decider against Argentina in Paris tomorrow.

The Ulster winger was selected among the replacements, but picked up an infection in the finger that he injured against Namibia in the opening game of the World Cup.  Connacht's Gavin Duffy has been drafted onto the bench in place of Trimble.

Trimble's provincial team mate and Ireland prop Simon Best continues to recover well and is expected to return home from hospital in Bordeaux early next week.

Ireland take on Argentina at Parc de Princes at 4pm Irish time.
