Ulster scrum-half Isaac Boss is expected to be back in action in time for the Six Nations campaign.

Boss sustained a shoulder injury when he clashed with Scottish number number eight John Beatty early in their Celtic League game at the weekend.

Ulster went on to win the game 19-8.

According to a statement from Ulster, Boss is suffering from severe trauma to the AC joint in his right shoulder with extensive soft tissue damage and bony brusing to the joint.

Although a return date is difficult to ascertain, Ulster said that the scrum-half should be fit before the beginning of the Six Nations campaign in February.
