The third edition of the Royal Trophy has been confirmed for January 2009 following this year's postponement.
The competition, devised by Seve Ballesteros, pits Asia against Europe in Thailand's Amata Spring Country Club and was first played in 2006.
This year's event was postponed as a mark of respect for the passing of Thai Princess Galyani Vadhana but the event has been scheduled for January 9-11 next year.
Ballesteros, who has confirmed he will lead Europe for a third time, said: "I believe the Royal Trophy will play a similar role for Asian golf to that which the Ryder Cup played for our sport in Europe. The Royal Trophy will become one of the world's great sporting competitions."
Europe have won both editions of the trophy to date.
