WOMEN'S HOCKEY:As the season winds down for its Christmas break there are just three Jacqui Potter Cup ties in the Leinster schedule for tomorrow, the pick of them the clash of Hermes' second team against Loreto's firsts at Booterstown.

The meeting of Railway Union and Pembroke Wanderers on Monday will complete the first half of the Leinster first division campaign, with Railway in desperate need of a win if they are to revive their hopes of pushing for a top-three finish after the break.

A win for Pembroke would move them level on points with Hermes in third place, one behind Old Alexandra and two adrift of Loreto who regained the lead in the table on Tuesday night when they beat Railway 3-2.

Saturday: Jacqui Potter Cup- Hermes II v Loreto, Booterstown, 1.30; Diocesan v Trinity, Rathgar, 1.45; Railway II v Corinthian II, Sandymount, 2.30. Leinster Schools' Premier League (at Grange Road) - Final:Loreto Beaufort v Wesley College, 2.30.
