How often is it said that you learn from your past experiences, and more especially from those which are hard to take. Well, recently at Ballybofey & Stranorlar that was certainly the case. Twenty handicapper Geraldine Crossan had been well in contention to figure prominently in the Lady Captain's Prize until she had the misfortune to record a nine on a par four.

However, she bounced back from that setback to take Ted O'Kane's President's Prize for Ladies with a fantastic nett score of 59. In her tremendous round she had 10 pars as well as a birdie to leave her comfortably ahead of second placed Eileen Reilly.
