Children's Hospital Cup: The Musgrave Crumlin Children's Hospital Club Challenge is celebrating its 10th year, and once again clubs around the country are charged with taking part in what is a very worthwhile cause.

A club simply has to run a competition day, charging an entry fee of €25 per player - it's a team of three open to men, women or mixed - with the winners going forward to a provincial final.

The Munster final takes place at Fermoy Golf Club (August 31st), the Leinster final at Mullingar GC (September 6th). The Connacht final take place on September 7th, and the Ulster final on September 13th.

The provincial winners go forward to the all-Ireland final in Portugal in October.

The four champions will battle it out over the excellent Pinta GC, Boavista GC, Penina GC and Morgado courses while staying at the Hotel Tivoli Almansor in Carvoeiro.

All the money raised goes to the Our Lady's Hospital, with the whole venture generously and completely underwritten by the Musgrave Group. There are no administrative costs and every cent raised goes to the hospital.

Over €1 million has been raised since the inception of the tournament and all proceeds go to the specialised burns unit at the hospital.
