Harty Cup:A 1-7 haul from Tipperary minor Noel McGrath salvaged a replay for Our Lady's, Templemore, in yesterday's thrilling 1-13 to 2-10 draw with Thurles CBS in Templetouhy.
The Thurles school led by four points at half-time and, after grabbing a goal within a minute of the restart, looked well on the way to victory.
However, indiscipline in the Thurles defence was punished by the deadly accurate McGrath, who accounted for most of Templemore's 1-13 haul as Thurles responded with 2-10.
A replay date has yet to be fixed but the winners will play De La Salle, Waterford, who comfortably disposed of Charleville in Cashel. Leading by 1-7 to 0-4 at half-time, De La Salle pressed home their advantage after the break to run out 2-13 to 0-7 winners.
Between them, full forward pair Stephen Power and Craig Maloney contributed 2-9 of De La Salle's total as Charleville registered just two points from play during the hour.
In Fermoy, Waterford Colleges scored 2-4 without reply in the last seven minutes to see off the challenge of Carrigaline and end Cork's interest in the competition.
At half-time, Carrigaline held a 0-5 to 0-3 lead having played with a strong wind in the opening half.
The sides were level at 0-6 apiece at the end of the third quarter and Carrigaline actually went ahead eight minutes from time before Waterford Colleges pulled away with goals from Cormac Curran and Liam Ryan.
Waterford Colleges will now play St Flannan's, last year's beaten finalists, in the semi-final. The Ennis school beat Árd Scoil Rís by 1-11 to 0-7 as John Conlon grabbed the crucial goal 10 minutes into the second half.
Conlon was the top scorer for St Flannan's with a 1-5 haul at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
