Busy old week for tabloid transfer tittle-tattle. Here goes: Robbie Keane is all set to join Leeds, Chelsea or Reggina; Blackburn have taken a fancy to Steve Staunton and are still on the verge of selling Jason McAteer to Southampton and Damien Duff to Everton. Despite denials from Manchester City, Mark Kennedy could still be Spurs-bound, while Rangers will compete with Middlesbrough for Rory Delap's signature.

Coventry City chairman Bryan Richardson has described as twaddle talk of Eddie Jordan buying the club, Joe Kinnear has been invited to apply for the vacant managerial post at Hearts and Irish Under-21 James O'Connor could be joining West Brom from Stoke any day soon.

Leeds are about to buy Kevin Phillips and Juninho, Edgar Davids is mere minutes away from joining Chelsea, who are about to flog Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to Barcelona (who will fund the deal by putting Patrick Kluivert and Frank de Boer on the market). Oh yeah, almost forgot: Manchester United will buy Emmanuel Petit, Francis Jeffers and Kieron Dyer soon-ish, and if not then, some time after.
