BOXING: Wayne McCullough's bid to wrestle the WBC super-bantamweight crown from Israel Vasquez has been thrown into doubt due to a legal wrangle over who should face the champion in Atlantic City on June 10th.

It seems Sycuan Promotions want Vasquez to meet fellow Mexican Ivan Hernandez on the supporting bill to light-heavyweight Antonio Tarver's fight with former world middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins, despite initially opting for McCoullough.

McCullough's promoter Dan Goosen said the matter was "in the hands of the attorneys" and believes that the former WBC bantamweight champion will be given his chance.

"We have a written agreement and I expect that to be honoured," said Goosen.
